The unchecked minute
Card 17 of 52
Put it on the board and read it out. Nothing to prepare.
Leave your phone wherever it is and spend one minute noticing what it is like not to check anything.
Keep your eyes open or let them soften. Notice whether the urge to check shows up in your hands, your body or a thought about what you might be missing.
When the urge comes, there is nothing to solve. Notice it, and then decide whether to respond.
As the minute ends, keep whatever you noticed private and bring your attention back to the room.
That’s the practice.
Listen for Hands may move towards pockets or bags on their own. Let it be noticed without calling anyone out.
