Sit as upright as feels natural and imagine your body as a mountain, its base held by the chair and its summit reaching up.

Picture this week's thoughts and feelings as weather moving across the mountain: heat, cloud, wind or rain.

The mountain does not chase the weather or push it away. Take a few comfortable breaths and let the picture stay for one minute.

Before we begin, remember that the weather and the mountain both change, even when the change is slow.

That’s the practice.

Listen for Once the image is clear, leave quiet for students to work with it in their own way, and let them shift position.
